It seems that house bill 1309 the Maryland Mold Remediation Bill has been passed. If you go to my web site www.si-restoration.com and go to important resources you will see the bill linked.
It is my understanding after reading the bill ( I called the Home Improvement Commission as well as the delegate who wrote the bill ) and have not gotten an official answer that anyone removing more than 10 square feet of mold that posses as a mold re-mediator must licensed. You do not have to hire a licensed mold remediator, just if you hire one they must be licensed by the state.

The law will not be official until June 2010.
