Air Duct Cleaning: Air Duct Cleaning Methods

What’s the difference between air duct cleaning methods?

If your confused on what the right method of air duct cleaning , you’re not alone.

Until NADCA defined the correct way to air duct cleaning and air handling system ( furnaces, air handling units, etc. ) cleaning , even I was concerned.

NADCA National AIr Duct Cleaners Association states that any device for duct cleaning is acceptable as long it is a source removal device and it is does effectively.

Now what source removal means simply is any way of removing dirt and particles from the system.

Technically if you could stretch your arm and hand and clean every square inch of the duct work, then there would be no need to hire air duct cleaners.

The problem is that’s impossible. So duct cleaners have to simulate the process of making an arm stretch through the duct work ( twists and turns and all ) when performing air duct cleaning.

The other issue is vacuuming out the debris without reintroducing the dire back into the air. Especially if some one in the house or business has allergies or breathing issues ( I have allergies, so I know what they mean)

Think about it when you vacuum, some of the dust that you vacuum goes back into the air, re-contaminating the air you breath.

To combat this NADCA air duct cleaning companies use either a vacuum with a HEPA vacuum, or draw debris outside of the dwelling.

I could keep going on with the explanation of different methods. The point I would like to make is if you want to make sure that the
company you hire is doing it correctly, hire a NADCA air duct cleaning company.

Whether it is SI Restoration si-restoration or another company NADCA companies have a signed agreement that they will only follow NADCA guidelines.

This is why you will be assured of a good job.
