Sewage Damage
Sewage damage folks is a lot different from regular water damage coming from your pipes or water heater that busted. Yes, I know most of you say that statement was obvious, but you amazed how many consumers don’t know how different they are.
According to the IICRC S500 the guide line for the majority of the water damage and sewage clean up industry, sewage clean up and remediation is different for these reasons.
1. Carpet that has been effected by sewage, must be removed asap no exceptions
2. Walls that have been touched by sewage must be removed ( damaged parts ) including insulation.
3. Once all absorbent materials have been removed there is a 5 step cleaning process, including power washing and three levels of disinfection.
There other procedures, and if you are interested please contact our office at 1-800-356-0484.
If you have non emergency question you can call me Jeff Cohn at 410-458-5371 for any type of sewage or water damage situation
