In new homes the house is too well constructed to allow it to breath so the air from the outside becomes trapped in the home which causes mold to feed on the dry wall in combination with the moisture.

In the long term it can affect a number of issues that matter to your health and your financial well-being. The health aspects of mold can result in you or your family members becoming sick and thereby cost you money in doctor's visits or time off of work. All of the following factors call for the reason of doing a proper mold test and using a licensed remediation company to do the work.

When testing for mold you should use an industrial hygienist or mold home inspector rather than a remediation company. A conflict of interest can occur when using the same company to both test and remove the mold.
